To build a fire is a great example of man vs. nature. The man went out into the -50 degree cold not perpared. No shoes and barely any clothes. In this case nature is winning. The M.C. is freezing and is close to hypothermia, he doesn't know were he is and only has a dog with him. Although he has a choice to kill the dog he chooses not too. Its been a long time and he has lost feeling in his body. His only choice is to run, and never stop. After minutes of running he collapes, and dies. Nature has beat him in this situation.
